I obviously love all my family sessions, but it’s extra special when I get to spend time with my immediate family for a photoshoot. My twin nieces and toddler nephew are at such a fun age, and so I’ll take any excuse to spend some time with them. We had a blast running around the prairie, playing with gopher dirt piles, and even squeezed out a few smiles!

When work friends become life friends, you know it’s been a worthwhile job. I never got to hug my coworker Sarah goodbye because I left our shared workplace during the pandemic. I’ve really only seen her via Zoom since March, so it was an extra sweet treat to be able to see her and Paul and Baby T, who is NO LONGER A BABY, in person! It seems like just yesterday we were planning that hedgehog-themed baby shower at work.

Lena’s parents have one of the best gardens, and it grew up alongside her…her first year coincided with a move to a new house with a big yard. It was only fitting that she was most photogenic among the kale and pepper plants. This shoot was filled with all the best fall colors, and some of my dearest friends.
