I’ve started building the Rural Design Studio website design in Figma; here are the working files. I’ve definitely been encountering some Figma cobwebs, so it’s been a little slow going, but it’s also been fun to see this brand start to live out in web context!
At this point, the homepage and work/portfolio pages are feeling okay, and I’ve started in on the about page. Next pages I want to build out:
A contact page
Information on how to join
A directory bio page + full directory page with a filter
A case study page (each work sample would link to a full case study)
In terms of user flows, here’s what I’m thinking:
Home > Work samples > Case study
Home > About > Directory > Directory bio/contact X
Home > About > Work with us > Contact form
For web design, I’ve been experimenting with page density, the right amount of color and color blocking, and how/where/when to pull in the “quilt” triangles and squares.
