I first met Beau a few years ago. They were sweet yet cool beyond their years then, and even more so now. We did these photos with a good friend of theirs at one of their favorite hangouts: the gorgeous Saint Paul Public Library. Turns out, I love photographing double-header senior sessions because it lets you see even more of the seniors’ personalities — who they are with their best friends, in their special spaces, at this big moment.
Beau possesses the kind of self-confidence the rest of us hope to grow into, and a fashion sense that I’m sure sets trends around the teen circles of Saint Paul. They were relaxed, low-key, but so chic, and of course, modeling perfectly layered red hair that contrasted perfectly amidst a backdrop of soft January snow. If I had a time machine and could do senior year all over again, I’d try my best to make Beau one of my best friends. Beau, thanks for braving the cold, laughing so easily, and making this session so much fun. I can’t wait to see what comes next!
