This was my first pregnancy announcement shoot and I was so nervous and excited! Lucky for me, Tori and Kyle are two of the sweetest and kindest people that exist and all nervousness quickly faded away into lots of laughter. They were still pretty new to the big news about Baby Hill’s arrival, too, and so the entire session felt intimate and surreal, all of us trying to comprehend what a baby in the mix would mean. I can say with confidence, though, after an hour with both of them (and their adorable pups), that Baby Hill is going to be well-loved and cared for.
It was a windy, overcast day, one of those no-longer-fall but not-quite-winter days. But, Tori and Kyle came with the warmest, cheeriest energy and the cloudy skies ended up working to our advantage. It gave the session its own kind of wild abandoned, just us and the grasses and this big unknown but joyful chapter to come.
Callie and Tucker, the dogs, waited patiently for us in the car until we could get full family photos with them. Their world is also about to change dramatically. It’s clear they’re the first kids in this relationship, and I have no doubt they’ll continue to benefit from Kyle and Tori’s overflowing love.
