It’s hard to beat two dogs and a two-year-old wearing deer boots. Add in an absolutely perfect fall afternoon, a childhood friend, and sweet family that was there at all your tennis matches and band concerts…well, let’s just say this was a special family session. Elise (the toddler), Tucker, and Macy (the pups) were so well behaved, happy, and delightful. Kaylee fit so naturally into this family unit it felt like I’d know her as long as everyone else (nice find, Chris). Jane, who was always one of the most stylish moms when I was growing up, hasn’t changed an ounce, and hanging out with Marty is like spending time with my own father.
My high school classmate Tiffany was the mastermind and coordinator pulling all of us together for this photo session as a gift for her mother, which is a gift idea I’m definitely going to steal. It was fun to see Elise passed from one family member to another, and how equally comfortable she was with each. I could spend every afternoon snapping photos of kiddos and puppies running around in fields of prairie grass, and so I was glad that the Adams family were totally down with that (even as we nearly got plowed over by Olaf cross country runners).
Tiffany & Co., thank you for this chance to reconnect and document this phase of family life. Kaylee, thank you for finding those deer boots for Elise. :) It was wonderful spending time with you all!
