The drive to this photoshoot was so stunning, following the Mississippi River and watching the leaves falls off trees as I drove. When I arrived at the family farm, I couldn’t have painted a more idyllic scene…June and Hattie were already running around, excited to swing in the tire dangling from a glowing maple tree. Bear the dog was also part of the greeting crew.
On the nearest bluff ridge, the copper chapel of the local country church where Claire and Rob got married was visible. We strolled the paths Claire’s father kept mowed, the girls got lots of swing time with Grandma and Uncle Lyles, and in the end, everyone crowded into the cozy farmhouse kitchen for tea and hot cocoa…it all felt very Rockwellian. The shoot was a gift to Claire’s parents, who just celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary. I couldn’t think of a better way to mark the occasion! Thanks for letting me join you all at this special place.
